Yasmin Nurming-Por is a curator based in Toronto, Canada. She has held curatorial and research positions at the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Walter Phillips Gallery, Global Affairs Canada Visual Art Collection, Images Festival, and Sheridan College amongst others. Recent projects include the Xiao Museum of Contemporary Art (Rizhao, CN), National Museum of Women in the Arts (Washington, DC), Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity (AB), Alberta Foundation for the Arts (Edmonton, AB), and the Art Gallery of Guelph (ON). She is co-founder of gallery two seven two and a board member of BlackFlash Magazine. Yasmin is a PhD student in the Art History Department at the University of Toronto where her research centres on the roles of permanent collections as tied to nationalism in the settler-colonial and post-colonial societies of the former British Empire.
